Horoglium Eremita

Backstory

Horoglium was born into slavery for the Drow and only escaped when his parents gave themselves up as a distraction to allow him to stay hidden in a cart for his escape. In this moment he had to stay still and just watch as his mother and father were whipped to death in front of him. The Drow did not make it quick either, Horoglium was forced to listen for what felt like hours while his parents were tortured. The Drow often stopped by to pour salt, hot embers, vinegar, and other horrid mixtures into the wounds just to prolong the suffering. This event burgeoned his hatred for the Drow and started him on his quest to remove them from this plane.

Horoglium studied under the tutilage of Vélbúnaður who taught him the essence of the philosopher’s stone and the principles of engineering. After many decades Horoglium thought he had surpassed his teacher and returned to the town closest to where he escaped to begin his plan to rid the underdark of the drow and usher in a new age of Brass, Flame, and Steam.
